Experimental Investigation of Receiver-location Dependency in Parallel Line Fed WPT System

This paper investigates a transmission efficiency dependent on location of a receiver for large-scale wireless power transfer (WPT) system using parallel line feeder. Many researches usually employ electromagnetic field simulation and equivalent circuit analysis, for circuit analysis. However, when the size of transmitter is enlarged in order to widen feeding area, circuit model is required to be also converted as distributed constant circuit because of uneven current density distribution in transmission line. Therefore, in this paper, we newly build a circuit model for large parallel line feeder coupled with a receiver as a combination of concentrated and distributed constant circuit, and investigate transmission efficiency imbalance according to a receiver position in large transmitter using that model. Proposal method is experimentally demonstrated.
