Analysis of Bioproteins by Propagation Signal Based on SAW Device

There are various bioproteins in our daily life. Humans can detect tens of thousands of bioproteins, such as odorant molecules. Nowadays, electronic noses are well-known as odor sensors that are widely used for many applications. Electrochemical methods, optical methods and acoustic techniques are used for odor sensors. Surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices, in which Rayleigh waves propagate, are studied for the odor sensors. Velocity of the SAW that is observed in the odor sensor depends on both a SAW device substrate and odorant mediums. This work is based on SAW device. In this work, we will describe the propagation characteristics of surface acoustic wave in viscoelastic model. we have to theoretically analysis the propagation velocity of surface acoustic wave propagating in SAW device. We determined a new mathematical formula for estimating the velocity of SAWs, which propagate in the SAW device. Also, we experimentally observed the propagation velocity of SAW device by different bioproteins. At the same concentration of protein, velocity of binding solution is depending on the density of odorant molecules. When the density increased, velocity of binding solution also increases.
