Optimisation of the implementations in fixed and floating point of tracking algorithm on DSP of C6000 of TI’s familly

In this article, the implementation of tracker named interacting multiple models (Interacting Multiple Models, `IMM') on two types of card digital signal processor (Digital Signal Processor, `DSP'), the floating-point TMS320C6713 and TMS320C6416 fixed-point will be presented in detail. A comparative study of the performances of DSP, to implement the same scenarios and prosecution for the same algorithm will be presented in detail. With the aim of achieving a realtime application, the optimization techniques developed by Texas Instrument (TI) will be used to reduce the execution time. New optimization solutions are also proposed.
