Silicon quantum dot devices for spin-based quantum computing

Demonstration of long spin coherence time in isotopically-enriched silicon (Si) qubits have accelerated research of spin-based quantum computing. The next major issue is large scale integration of qubits. Physically-defined quantum dot (QD) on Si-on-insulator (SOI) is one of the promising candidates for multiple scaled qubits. This work demonstrates the fabrication of physically-defined QDs with control gates and charge sensor, and the observation of Pauli spin blockades in triple QDs and p-channel QDs.
