Electromagnetic Field in Vicinity of Electronic Baby Monitor

Usage of devices emitting electromagnetic (EM) radiation on everyday basis leads to almost ubiquitous exposition to the EM field for everyone. The knowledge of the values of surrounding EM field may help to estimate the exposure and bring the better understanding of the effects. Main topic of presented paper deals with measurement and simulation of the electric field near the electronic baby monitor under standard condition. Chosen electronic monitor works at a frequency of 1900 MHz. Obtained values do not exceed the limits set by the regulation. However, some caution should be exercised when using such devices, in particular regarding keeping a safe distance from the little children.
