Investigation of even harmonics in low-voltage distribution networks

This paper presents the results obtained in the measurement of odd and even harmonic voltages in the low-voltage distribution network in an university building during 2019. In addition to the IEC harmonic standard indices such as the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and the magnitude and phase angle of harmonic and interharmonic components in voltage supply, the harmonic and interharmonic groups and subgroups and a non-standard index, namely the total even harmonic distortion (TEHD), and the Pst standard flicker index have also been computed for a better characterization of the distortion. The paper also reports the phase angle of the dominant harmonic components and a statistical analysis of the data with the cumulative probability and the correlation between harmonic voltages.
