Loss-less operation of membrane III-V semiconductor Mach-Zehnder modulator with optical amplifier on Si platform

500-μm-long membrane InGaAsP-based Mach-Zehnder modulators (MZMs) and MQW-based semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs) are integrated by using regrowth techniques on Si platforms.
