Work-in-Progress: A Systematic Mapping Study of Experiences with Active Learning Strategies and Methods in Brazilian Engineering Education

Changes in school and university environments, with the presence of information and communication technologies, the strengthening of educational modalities, such as distance education and the increasingly rapid transformations in the global scenario which require professionals capable of dealing with complex problems are events that cause changes in the engineering teaching-learning process. It is possible to observe the strengthening of active learning strategies and methods, which involve the students in the educational process, making them co-responsible for their learning. Seeking to verify the growth of these strategies in Brazil, this paper presents a study, based on a systematic mapping, of articles published about Active Learning Strategies and Methods from 2007 to 2019 in the Proceedings of the Brazilian Congress of Engineering Education (COBENGE), the main forum for studies of Engineering Education in Brazil.
