Inspection of Progressive Dark Pixels for Large-Size IJP AMOLED Displays

For large size AMOLED display, the particles are inescapable during the manufacturing process although made in cleanroom. Here, an inspection method to find the progressive dark pixels is supposed for large size IJP AMOLED displays by applying a reverse voltage on OLED device. As a result, the high temperature caused by the reverse current will make the anode and cathode short at the position of particle. So that the pixels with particle will turns dark. Dozens of progressive dark pixels can be inspected of a panel by adopting this method. The particles position in pixel can be observed by optical microscope and then it can be repaired to improve the quality and yield of AMOLED display.
