Reliability Analysis Method of a Repairable System with Delay and Correlation Maintenance

As to the system comprised by multi-components, the component cannot all be repaired immediately after a failure due to limitations in maintenance conditions and costs. The existing fault tree analysis methods cannot capture the delay and correlation characteristics of component maintenance. To solve this problem, a delayed repair event is introduced to capture components with delayed repair. The simulation methods of delayed repair component and immediate repair component are given respectively. The correlation repair box is introduced to capture the components with correlation maintenance characteristics, and the simulation algorithm of correlation maintenance is given. Based on Monte Carlo simulation, the availability analysis algorithm of system with delay and correlation maintenance is given. Finally, a production system is used as an example to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The work of this paper extends the tools of existing fault tree analysis methods.
