Analysis of Surface Plasmonic Nanoparticles Embedded in Silver Substrates for Enhancing Efficiency of Solar Cell

The primary objective of this paper is to study the various surface plasmonic nanoparticles embedded in the silver substrates and their capability to enhance the solar cell efficiency. Using MIE scattering software, the various types of light scattering and light absorption plots by silver nanoparticles embedded in different substrates of a solar cell are obtained. The secondary objective is to study the effect of nanoparticles size and standard deviation on light scattering and absorption. The determination of the best suitable plasmonic nanoparticles in order to enhance the solar cell performance has been undertaken. The methodology followed mainly consists of graphical analysis with the use of MIE PLOT software. The analysis of silver sample with different mediums and subsequent comparison of their variations in peak wavelength is used as a performance index.
