Relay Coordination with Delay Latency for a LMI based LFC Model

If the load vary randomly, both frequency and tie-line power changes in a power system network. This paper presents the study of LFC with nonlinear parameters for different latencies of communication delay with relay coordination. The primary objective is to maintain the stability of network during abnormal conditions including time delays. Lyapunov stability theorem demonstrates the stability in the presence of delays, LMI and relay coordination. To improve the stability of the system relay coordination with PID controller MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation was studied by considering the effect of the nonlinearity of the system. The results show the effectiveness of relay coordination to ensure the reliability of the frequency of the power system.
