Computer Simulation System for Safe and Rational Control of Arc Furnace Electric Mode

The article describes the structure of the computer simulation system for steel-smelting process control in the electric arc furnace. The basis of the computer system is a mathematical model of the electric steel-smelting process. The algorithm for solving mathematical model equations defines the rational electric mode of the arc furnace, the values of productivity and specific energy consumption. The computer simulation system allows increasing the energy efficiency of the process, the reliability of the servicing mechanisms and the durability of the thermal unit lining.
