Research on Transit-time Ultrasonic Flowmeter with Signal Characteristic Analysis

Transit-time ultrasonic flowmeter calculates the flow rate of the fluid through the measurement of the ultrasonic propagation time difference of the flow. In order to improve the anti-jamming performance under the complex flow fields, a method of ultrasonic signal characteristic analysis is proposed in this paper, which combines the advantage of the cross-correlation method and the advantage of the threshold comparison method. In this paper, the mathematical model of ultrasonic echo signal is firstly introduced, which is to figure out the signal characteristic theoretically. During the measurement, the time of the ultrasonic echo signal is obtained by the timing module of the system, and the signal data is obtained by the AD sampling module, which is for characteristic calculation by characteristic analysis algorithm. Finally, by the experiment this paper verifies the feasibility and validity of the system through experiments, the experimental results show that ultrasonic flowmeters designed in this paper has high precision and strong anti-jamming performance advantages.
