Analysis on Slope Stability of Some Pole and Tower on ±800kV UHV Fufeng Line

The power transmission lines are distributed widely, stretching long and unbroken, and the poles and towers of power transmission lines are mostly distributed on the mountainous slope, and there is a high risk of instable failure under each kind of extreme condition, which seriously affects the normal operation of the power grid. Reasonable evaluation of the stability of the slope of the transmission line under different working conditions is a prerequisite for scientific disaster prevention and mitigation. In this paper, the slope of the pole and tower of the ±800kV Fufeng line is taken as the object of research. Through the site investigation and indoor and outdoor tests, the rock formation data of the slope and the physical and mechanical properties of the rock and soil are obtained. The working conditions are divided into natural conditions and storm. The ABAQUS software based on the finite element strength reduction method and the SLOPE/W module in GEO-SLOPE based on rigid body limit equilibrium method are respectively used to calculate the slope stability, and the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods are compared respectively. The analysis results show that the slope of the pole and tower of the ±800kV UHV Fufeng line is in an understable state under natural working conditions, and it is unstable under the rainstorm condition, which provides a scientific basis for the evaluation of the risk of the power transmission line tower slope.
