Readiness Index for Indonesian Power Plant toward Industry 4.0

Implementation of Industry 4.0 in Indonesia can improve product quality, leverage productivity, and increasing product efficiency. Therefore, it will increase industrial competitiveness. In order to boost the industrial transformation towards Industry 4.0, PT. PLN as the main electricity provider in Indonesia needs of an indexing tool that can be utilized to measure the readiness of power plant in Indonesia. This is the base of the formulation of the index named Indonesia Industry 4.0 Readiness Index for Power Plant or abbreviated as INDI 4.0 - Power Plant. In INDI 4.0 - Power Plant there are five pillars that need to be measured, which is: management and organization, people and culture, connectivity, digitalization, and technology. From these five pillars, it is further divided into 15 fields. From these 15 fields the readiness reference is taken to measure Indonesian power plant transformation towards Industry 4.0. From the early assessment done in the early 2019, the result obtained shows that the average index score in Indonesia is in level 2. It means the power plant readiness to transform towards Industry 4.0 is in "intermediate" stage. From the study also shows that INDI 4.0 - Power Plant can effectively use as the standard reference to measure the readiness of the power plant in Indonesia to transform towards Industry 4.0.
