Application of Big Data Technology in UHV Network

UHV substation will accumulate a large amount of data during the operation process. The data scale and growth rate are unmatched by UHV substations. How to effectively use these rich data resources for business decision-making is an urgent problem to be solved. Big data technology provides a new solution for the operation and maintenance of UHV substations. The data collected by the sensors in the station into the substation cloud platform, the development of various application subsystems based on the cloud platform can facilitate inspection and fault prediction, and greatly optimize human resources. This paper first analyzes the source and characteristics of current UHV substation data, defines the research scope of UHV substation data subordinate to big data, and then discusses how big data technology can help UHV operation and maintenance work from two aspects of intelligent inspection and fault prediction. This paper introduces the new inspection mode, introduces the working ideas of using big data technology for fault discovery and prediction, and finally proposes a cloud platform design scheme based on Hadoop distributed cluster, and forecasts the related trends.
