Mathematical study on the relation of energy density and other parameters in the selective laser sintering of polyamide12 and their influences on the quality of the final produced part

The energy density is a key parameter in the laser sintering process (LS) has a very strong impact on the properties and quality of the final parts built. The processing parameters have an important effect on laser sintering. This article focuses on understanding the relationship between the energy density and the other parameters, by establishing mathematical equations to calculate the energy density, which we will use later in our complete mathematical model. We will use the result of experimentally work which have already been carried out by varying the process parameters, namely the laser power, the scanning speed, the hatching distance, scanning spacing and the layer thickness. The relative density model was estimated using the correlation method by MATLAB software.
