Total Productive Maintenance Implementation in Cables Manufacturing: A Case Study

Maintenance activities, such as curative maintenance, preventive maintenance and spare parts management, represent an essential axis in the industry. Its aim consists to improve the productivity of the production systems. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is the most effective maintenance strategy used to improve the overall equipment efficiency (OEE). This research paper addresses the impact of the implantation of the TPM on overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) of two different types of machine used in the production line of energy cables industry: Assembly machine and extrusion machine.
