About Peculiarities of Restricting the Energy Range of Action of Communication Underwater Systems in the Shallow Sea

Today, limiting the energy range of underwater communication systems is mainly associated with the hydrological features of the area of work. In this case, the energy capabilities of transceiver underwater acoustic means can be reduced due to refractive circumstances in the information channel. In addition, work in shallow areas occurs under conditions of dispersion, one of the consequences of which is the deformation of communication signals during propagation in the information channel. The most sensitive parameters of the transmitted message to external destructive effects are: its envelope, duration and frequency composition. The aim of the work is to determine the effects of correcting the energy range in a shallow sea with an acoustically hard bottom of underwater communication systems. The relevance of the work is necessary in rapid development of underwater robotics for studying the oceans. The current progress in underwater communications means shows that it is useful to use energy factors that additionally affect not only the quality of transmission of the message through the communication channel, but also the energy range of the message transmission, the detection of the noise field of the subscriber or the search object. These include the formation in the working space of the water area of singular points corresponding to the “vortex” and “saddle” classes. The results of the work should include clarification of the issue of the mutual influence of the intensity distributions and impedance characteristics along the waveguide length, as well as the conditions for local interruption of communication with the subscriber as a factor in limiting the energy range of underwater communications.
