Prototyping of a multistandard transmitter with discrete components for FBMC applications

This paper presents a PCB based prototyping platform for multi-carrier transmitter architectures. It utilizes eight independent transmit channels on a 320×90 mm
²
4-layer FR4-substrate with commercial off the shelf (COTS) components. Each channel provides a sample rate of up to 50 MHz. The data is preprocessed and delivered to the board via a Virtex 7 FPGA. An FBMC signal with a 25 MHz bandwidth is transmitted achieving an EVM of 1.03 %. Hereby, no additional analogue filters are applied inside the individual channels.
