Current-Feedback Instrumentation Amplifier for Bio-Potential Signal Acquisition applications

It is paramount to develop wearable devices for Human Machine Interface Applications that can collect biopotential signals with high accuracy and without signal loss. Instrumentation amplifiers are essential blocks in Bio- signal acquisition systems like EEG &ECG because of their ability to amplify low differential signals with high precision. It is essential and challenge to design an amplifier that amplifies weak EEG signals (0-100µv) having low frequency contents (0.5 Hz to 100 Hz) that meets our noise, frequency requirements while maintaining low power, low area consumption, high common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR). In this paper we propose a Novel technique to reduce offset, noise and improve NEF. The Noise Efficient factor is reduced to 1.75 by using chopper Stabilized 2-stack Instrumentation amplifier.
