Safety Analysis of Power-battery-equipped Traction System for Urban Rail Transit

The paper notices that there is an absence of dedicated standards for the power-battery-equipped traction system for urban rail transit vehicles, those for reliability and safety performances in particular. Therefore, it reviews the composition and the working mode of such traction system, and builds the corresponding fault tree model where safety-related incidents are considered as top events. On this basis, the paper introduces the minimal cut set method to calculate and analyze the probabilities of the top events of the subtrees in the dedicated time continuous distribution model.
