A Study of Methods using Image Processing Technique in Crack Detection

Crack is an unavoidable happening that leads to hazards, it may weaken the stability, strength, and durability of the product, so the crack is need to found and correct. The detection of crack is not an easy task. Occurrence of crack due to different reasons such as poor quality of material using, chemical reactions, natural disasters etc., investigation of cracks by manual process has many draw backs accuracy is less and it cannot inspect the internal invisible cracks. The image processing technique is evolved to detect the crack more accurately and to detect the invisible cracks. This paper has surveyed on recent techniques in image processing used for various cracks and it gives analysis on the algorithm used for crack detection.
