Performance Enrichment of Distribution Network with DG in Presence of STATCOM

The restructuring of distribution networks plays vital role and it is one of key solution to boost the network performance. In recent years increase in the demand, grid integrated RES, low investments in the electrical infrastructure upgradation causing huge power loss with stressed operation of T&D networks. In this paper combination of multiple DG's with STATCOM placement is carried out to enhance the power saving with acceptable boost in the voltage profile. The LF is carried out on thirteen nodes RDN using Mi-Power tool. The obtained results shows the best optimal combination of DG with STATCOM helps to achieve the 60-80% of power saving.
