Threshold voltage adjustment in organic thin-film transistors through the use of interface amino acids interlayers

In this work, we have fabricated and studied p-type pentacene thin-film transistors. An amino acid interlayer was intercalated between the dielectric (SiO2) and the pentacene. The intrinsic dipolar moment in the amino acid modify the electrical characteristics of the TFT, allowing a control of the Threshold Voltage.
