Push-pull Inverter based Wireless Power Transfer System

This paper presents the design of a wireless power transfer circuit which includes class Φ
₂
inverter. Maximum power density can be achieved by using high frequency resonant inverter. A promising topology for very high frequency operation is the class Φ
₂
based topology. The controlled impedance at the drain to source terminal leads to soft switching and reduced voltage stress compared to class E inverter. In order to increase the power density and to decrease the input current ripple a push-pull class Φ
₂
inverter was implemented with inductive coils for wireless power transfer (WPT). Here, a scheme of 5.6 kW, 160v push-pull inverter at 30MHz frequency is demonstrated. This paper provides the simulated result of the proposed WPT system in MATLAB.
