Abstract:

The paper deals with analyzing the method to design a LCL filter connected to grid-tied power converters. This paper aims at analyzing the right values of the different parameters of an LCL filter by changing the switching frequency and inductor ratio of the LCL filter. LCL filters are advantageous over the traditional L filters in the fact that they provide better harmonic attenuation and efficiency at a smaller size. By varying the total inductance of LCL filter, analysis is made so as to obtain the appropriate inductance values which has the minimum harmonic distortion and which gives the highest efficiency by simultaneously meeting the standard requirements of the filter. The analysis also takes into consideration the Total Harmonic Distortion of supply current, resonance frequency and damping of the filter.
