Restoration in Microgrid using System Stability Criteria

In a complex power system network; faults are inevitable in nature. They can only be cleared after their occurrence using various protection devices. When the faults are cleared and the faulty sections are isolated, restoration of the system should be done as soon as possible so that end-users get power supply with no further delay. Restoration of the network is a very challenging task as it involves synchronization of many system parameters and also all the system security constraints must be satisfied during the restoration phase. Keeping these aspects into consideration, a multi-agent-based approach is proposed for power system restoration. The technique is applied to a 7-bus microgrid system to validate the proposed restoration scheme.
