Detailed analysis of Fuzzy Logic Controller for Second order DC-DC Converters

This paper presents designing of a general purpose Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) for buck, boost and buck boost. A single Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) is designed with a common rule base which controls buck, boost and buck-boost converters with slight variation in gains. Detailed analysis of this controller is carried out with varying conditions (variable supply voltages and variable loads). It showed robust behaviour for all variation. Designing of a FLC is less complex and doesn't demand complex mathematical calculation. Simulation results are presented showing the robust behaviour of controller under transient conditions and steady state conditions.
