State Frame of Multi-port DC-DC Converter

This article presents a four-port DC-DC converter (FOPDC), which incorporates DC grid (DGR) [1]-[4] at its port 1 with existing battery bank (BBA), solar photovoltaic (SPH) system, and isolated DC load (DLO) at its ports 2, 3, and 4, respectively. At first, the article develops the state-space (SSP) model [5] for the FOPDC. The SSP model development involves the small signal modeling of the FOPDC through the large signal analysis of the latter. Afterward, the note compares nonlinear large, and linear small signal time-domain modeling responses for each of the state involved in the SSP model of the FOPDC in the MATLAB/Simulink platform.
