Extremum Seeking of Asynchronous Electric Drive with Frequency-Current Regulation

To improve the energy performance of an asynchronous electric drive with frequency-current control, it was proposed to operate the motor with critical slip by adjusting the stator voltage in a closed system with cascade switching on current and speed controllers, and adjusting the stator current frequency using an extreme regulator miniSince the parameters of the induction motor are variable and can change during operation, it is recommended to use models of the extreme control process to calculate the required addition of the angular velocity when it reaches its optimal value, while minimizing current consumption. The complexity of controlling the extreme current in this case is associated with a weakly expressed extreme dependence and, as a consequence, a low signal to noise ratio. For this, the authors developed a noise-resistant algorithm for extreme regulation based on a repeating least-squares procedure. The application of the described methodology and algorithms allows the use of an electric drive in the conditions of restrictions on energy consumption and ensuring increased operational reliabilitymizing the current consumed by the electric drive.
