Workbench for Monitoring and Operation of Electric Machines

In this paper, a generic platform to improve the test, evaluation and research regarding to electric machine is developed. The proposed system can measure experimental data by means of electric sensors and acquire these data by means a data acquisition device connected to a microcomputer which can be employed to record, compare, estimate and chart the result in real-time. Also, the system allows closed-loop control strategies implementation to a huge variety of DC and AC electric machines. Experimental results obtained from case studies are presented to validate the platform applicability and robustness.
