Ultra-Wideband Electromagnetic Environment Signal Generation Based on Optical Heterodyne Method

This paper proposes an ultra-wideband electromagnetic environment signal generation method based on optical heterodyne technique. The principle of the scheme is presented, and the generation of a linear frequency modulation (LFM) signal with frequency of 10GHz and bandwidth of 2GHz is carried out through simulation to verified the feasibility of the proposed method. This optical heterodyne method supports ultra-wideband signal generation with high radio frequency (RF) and low complexity.
