General purpose Arithmetic computation on AMD Platform, APU Based with Integrated GPU and finding Empirical results of GPGPU Acceleration

This paper provides the empirical results and its comparative study on GPGPU supported heterogeneous computing platform showcasing the AMD Llano based Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) general purpose computing capabilities using the Multiplication and subtraction workload. The computational performance is measured on CPU only, iGPU only and on both CPU and iGPU. It is seen that co accelerator iGPU only and both CPU and iGPU provides ~3X performance gain over CPU only computation.
