Stereo Imaging Mission Verification for Lunar Exploration

The main mission objective of the high-resolution camera system for the lunar orbiter is to find the topographic information and search the appropriate landing sites. According to the mission objective, there are mission requirements to be verified. 1D push broom time delay stereo imaging for the orbiter, 2D frame stereo imaging for the lander, stereo camera angle tilt, variable resolution and swath are essential requirements to accomplish the mission. In this paper, the mission requirements verification concept in the ground test is proposed. For the ground test, the high-resolution camera ground test model is loaded in the airplane and tested by the mission requirements. Stereo image are captured and processed to obtain the topographic map and evaluated.
