Application in Insulator Infrared Image Denoising with Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet Transform

In order to obtain a clear image and keep the details of the image as complete as possible, it has given an adaptive noise reduction method of insulator infrared image by using dual tree complex wavelet transform(DT-CWT) and Maximum likelihood estimation method based on local adaptive window(LAWML) method in this paper. At the same time, five other denoising methods are used to process the insulator thermal image with noise. The method has a good noise reduction effect on insulator infrared thermal image with low signal-to-noise ratio. It ensures the integrity of image information at the same time of noise reduction. It lays a foundation for the accuracy of the subsequent insulator pollution level identification.
