Optimization Design of Walker Constellation for Multi-Target Rapid Revisit

To design a Walker constellation for multi-target rapid revisit, a method using optimization is proposed. A constellation optimization design framework is established including optimization algorithm module, simulation condition generation module, simulation module and data analysis module. Select the parameters of the Walker constellation as the optimal variables, formulating optimal objective function considering the system cost and revisit time, full coverage of targets and 1 hour revisit of all targets are used as constraints and optimize the design of constellation using genetic algorithm. The reliability of the method is verified by a practical engineering case at the end of paper. The result show that the Walker constellation designed by this method can achieve the Belt and Road national capitals full coverage and less than 1 hour revisit, have a good application value.
