A Novel High Gain Soft Switched Step-Up DC-DC Converter With Coupled Inductors

A high gain soft switched DC-DC converter is proposed in this paper. It consists of single switch, two coupled inductor and a voltage multiplier. Passive clamping reduces the voltage stress across switch. The switch is turned on with Zero current switching and diodes are turned OFF with zero current switching which reduces switching losses. The leakage energy of coupled inductors is recycled to increase the system voltage gain. Mathematical analysis and simulation results are presented for 500 W converter.
