Logarithmic Addition and Subtraction for Embedded Control Systems

An original principle of logarithmic number addition and subtraction using RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computing) and numerical system conversions is presented. New concept and related algorithms for conversion between the floating point number and logarithmic number system (LNS) representations was developed and implemented on FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays).
