Performance Optimization of Profile Conical Horn Antenna using Mirror Image Geometry

This paper describes the design of a profile horn antenna using polynomial interpolation having multiple node points. The conical horn antennas with profiling are designed for D-band (110-170 GHz) frequencies. The mirror image concept is used to form the profile for enhancing the performance of the horn antenna. The proposed design is compared with the interpolation profile horn having two node points. The proposed design offers narrower beam width and side-lobes better than -24 dB.
