Abstract:

The maximum power transfer efficiency (MPTE) between multiple transmitting elements and receiving elements (MIMO) has been formulated by using eigenvalues of the matrix based on either Z matrix or S matrix [1]. Now, in this paper, the method is applied to various basic MIMO systems to compare their maximum transfer efficiency. The MIMO systems involved in this paper are composed of dipole or loop elements, the transmitting and receiving element number are changed from 1 to 4, respectively. The simulation results will answer the question which transmitter structure has higher transfer efficiency, one transmitter or multiple transmitters, dipole or loop?
