Abstract:

The last few decades have seen a tremendous increase in the number of vehicles which in turn has forced the government to make use of technology to ensure the traffic rules are not violated. Even though these new technologies are being adopted for the safety of the commuters, none of the campuses have taken the initiative in doing so. The proposed Campus traffic reinforcement system makes use of IoT and OpenCV for image processing. The proposed system can be mainly used to detect accidents, traffic violations, i.e., speeding of vehicles, unnecessary honking and provides the information to the concerned authority to take further effective action.
