Twitter Data Visualization and Sentiment Analysis of Article 370

Twitter is a platform widely used by people to express their opinion and share their thoughts based on any topic or event. Over the years, Twitter has only gained popularity. In this paper, the opinion of users about the revocation of Article 370 and its impact on trade in Pakistan, terrorism in India and Pakistan, and tweets regarding Kashmir have been mined. Article 370 of the Indian Constitution gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir and was revoked on 5 August 2019. Sentiment analysis is performed for these topics to analyze the positivity, negativity, and neutrality of the tweets on a global basis. Two thousand two hundred tweets between 5 August and 30 August are analyzed, and it is found that people have a slightly more positive response about this topic. People from Pakistan are concerned about the impact on trade while people from India are worried about the impact on terrorism. The tweets and data regarding them are stored and visualized using various graphs and plots.
