Series Realization of Non-Linear Analog Functions using Current Mode Device

Synthesis procedure of nonlinear analog function has been proposed in this paper. The polynomial series is represented as the product of quadratic functions. Two functional blocks-multiplier and adder have been adopted to implement this polynomial form. Realization of sigmoid, exponential and logarithmic function using the series polynomial, as design examples, claim that the proposed synthesis procedure has the robustness to design any nonlinear functions expressed by series polynomial. All the proposed circuits have been verified using SPICE simulation.
