Study on Hydrostatic Drive Technology of Rail Vehicle

Hydrostatic transmission system has high power density and can realize continuously variable transmission, so it is widely used in the field of rail vehicle. Under background of "the belt and road", CRRC has developed a type of rail vehicle which is driven by hydraulic power. This paper presents the design concept and working principles of the vehicle. The transmission system mainly consists of an electric proportional control pump and two automatic high-pressure related control motors. Considering the application condition and safety requirement, the functions of twin drive, load limiting control, and anti-slipping are integrated in this system. And all the design is verified at customer side.
