Research on Attitude of Rotor of High-speed Motorized Spindle Based on Fluid-structure Interaction

The study of the interaction characteristics of the gas bearing-rotor system can directly analyze the factors affecting the machining accuracy of the high-speed motorized spindle. 3D numeral simulation model of gas bearing-rotor system is established, and the influence of the fluid-solid interaction is also considered. The load capacity, the dip angle of rotor axis and eccentric angle of gas bearing-rotor system under different radial loading and rotating speed conditions are analyzed. The results show that the torque on rotor leads to the inclination of the rotor axis. The dip angle of rotor axis increase monotonously with the increasing eccentricity rate under the same conditions of rotor speeds and gas inlet pressure. The dip angle of rotor axis and the eccentricity ratio decrease with the increasing of rotor speeds, and the eccentric angle increase under the same gas inlet pressure and loading force. The dip of rotor axis lead to decline of safe eccentricity rate of gas bearing. Further, load capacity of gas bearing-rotor system is reduced.
