Android Application Based Parameter Analysis of Induction Motor

Engineering education has been experiencing a paradigm shift from chalk and talk towards digital aids. This paper presents one such android application to predict the performance of an induction machine. The application presented calculates the performance parameters: rotor resistance, rotor reactance, shaft torque and efficiency, of any arbitrary induction motor based on the name plate details provided on the machine. The application is also able to simulate and present the torque-slip characteristics of the machine under consideration.
