Efficient Computation of Radome Boresight Error Using Iterative Method for Antenna Sum Pattern

This paper proposes an iterative method for computation of antenna sum pattern to enable fast calculation of radome boresight error. The iterative method proposed here is used along with a 3D ray tracing method for analysis of antenna-radome system. The efficiency of iterative method is compared with that of a non-iterative method. It is shown that superior efficiency of iterative method makes it more suitable for computer aided radome design and optimization.
