Text Analysis of Tweets with Rescue Request Hashtags Posted during 2018 Japan Floods

The utilization of social media for sharing information during disasters has become important. In Japan, many Twitter posts (tweets) that include rescue request hashtags, such as (#Rescue) and (#Rescue_request), are posted during and after large-scale natural disasters. The investigation of tweets with such hashtags is required to facilitate rescue and relief operations. In this study, we analyze word occurrence and co-occurrence in the tweets posted during the 2018 Japan Floods.
